As a Home Care Personal Support Worker or Home Caregiver, your primary responsibility is to provide compassionate, personalized care and support to individuals within their homes. You'll assist clients with activities of daily living, offer companionship, and ensure their well-being while fostering a safe and comfortable home environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide meal preparation, feeding, and assistance with nutritional needs as per the clients’ dietary requirements.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and tidy environment.
• Engage clients in activities that stimulate their physical and mental well-being, such as exercise, conversations, games, and hobbies.
• Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management in accordance with prescribed schedules.
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and companionship to clients, fostering a trusting and respectful relationship.
• Report and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team or family members.
• Document activities and observations accurately in the client's care plan or daily logs.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards and respect client confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Lady Health Visitor (LHV)/ Clinical Assistant/Midwife/Dispenser/OT Technician
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting.
• Understanding of basic personal care techniques and knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach towards individuals requiring care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and tasks.
• Physical stamina and ability to assist clients with mobility and personal care.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable.
• Knowledge of handling medical equipment or devices commonly used in home care.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities may be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily takes place in the clients' homes.
• May involve irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and possibly overnight stays based on clients' needs.
• Physical demands may include lifting, standing, and assisting with clients’ mobility.

Contract length: 12 months

Salary: Rs35,000.00 - Rs75,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
